Right scroll wheel & stop-start

Featured Replies

I have a minor glitch with the right scroll wheel - infrequently, when the car restarts (stop/start) it will scroll down by itself on the dash display. The scroll wheel itself is secure and dash otherwise working fine.

It's still under warranty, but any thoughts on what the cause may be?

Not sure, but I did have the opposite problem - display sometimes not responding to scroll wheel. A replacement scroll wheel replaced under warranty has fixed it, shows though that scroll wheel may not always be 100% reliable. Because problem was intermittent I provided a video clip as evidence, dealer was reluctant to do anything without evidence, having said that they did confirm that the faulty scroll wheel had caused a fault code. Your issue may also have raised a code.

You're not the only one - my car was doing similar things last year which I mostly noticed when it changed my music track on stop-start resume. I never had it investigated but I haven't noticed it happen in months.
