Preparing to collect Sportline Combi 220PS advice

Recommended Posts

My car is being built this week, so hopefully wont be to long before I get my hands on it .

I have already started accumulating some bits and pieces to look after/adorn the new motor. Eg LED tailgate lights, new wash mitt, Skoda log dust caps etc.

Read with interest some of the advice on here about things to check on collection like umbrellas, torch, locking wheel nut etc.

Planning to get a data sim card for Columbus.

Any tips for things to watch out for at collection, Bits and pieces I should consider getting in advance of new motor. Was thinking of sticking some music on SD card.

Any advice gratefully received

Check everything BEFORE you sign the final paperwork. Check items that should be standard spec as well, don’t assume anything (I’ve learnt the hard way)

apart from that enjoy! If they’ve managed to put all the right stuff onitll be a cracking car!

When you collect it drop all the windows up and down a few times. The first time I dropped mine a month or so after I got it a deep scratch appeared up the passenger window - obviously from something caught in the rubber seal from the factory. Skoda are now refusing to do anything about it.
