Just picked up a new citigo face-lift model and I want to remove the Pid holder on the dash. How does one go about this? I have pushed and pulled it as much as I dare. It does move but afraid I will snap something. Thanks

Should have a button behind the cradle where the PID/phone sits. 

For A new Citigo (2016 onwards) the holder is designed for a phone.

Citigo’s 2015 and older have a cradle designed for the PID. 

Look at pages 66/67 of the owners manual, has all the info there if you are talking about the smart phone adapter.
