Hi, 

 

My Girls fabia Combi tailgate pull down strap has broken. I cant find a replacement other than Change the whole interior of the tailgate. 

 

Can Any one help My searching or is it diy making a New one?

Yeah, but as I can read it only for the hatchback? 

2nd one mentions Combi which is why I included the link.

I looked into this for retro fitting to a 2015 VW Polo, wife is a bit on the short side, so I plan to make her life a bit easier!  What I discovered was, the same strap was used for all Skodas, that does not help a bit but I thought I'd mention it!

The Girl is a bit short, so i Was thinking about finding a long one, but I think i will drop searching then.

Once replaced, you could try drilling a neat hole through the grab-part and adding an extension loop of some kind, that suits your need... (Perhaps an umbrella wrist strap type thing or a dog lead handle). The main thing to worry about is ensuring it does not end up fouling the boot closure! (Pun intended).
