Hello from Middlesbrough!

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, I'm the owner of a 2016 Octavia vrs 220 manual badged up as a private hire car.

Yes, i know I'm mad running a petrol as a taxi but I inherited the car last year and it was so nice to drive I couldn't bear to trade it in for an oil burner!

Previous Octavias include mkii 2012 diesel vrs estate and 2 x 2.0 tdi SEs (1 dsg). 400k miles racked up between them!

Hope to contribute advice if I can and from reading the forums, I know if I have any questions there's plenty of knowledgeable members here who will help me if they can.

Hello GeoffLetaxi  welcome along to the Skoda forum that's some miles and will come with knowledge B)

Cheers JED,

A fair few miles indeed and apart from the usual consumables and wear and tear parts, very little goes wrong with the Octavias I've had.

That said, the DMF started to chatter at 85k on the 2015 Tdi dsg I had last year.

Not my problem now though.

Welcome to Briskoda

Yeah, even the most tipsy customers know to keep pressing 2 on their phone and a car will arrive.
