First of all let me state that some of the bells and whistles on my L&K are ones that I don't use, don't understand or don't know that I have got. However I took my car in for it's first service three days ago  and was told that there was a recall on it which was to do with inputting software to make the lights do what they should do. When I collected the car I noticed that the passenger door mirror dipped when I put the DSG in reverse. I thought that this was a particularly useful feature. However after two days the feature has ceased to work. Two questions . Is the dipping standard on the L&K?  Is " disappearing software" common on the Superb?

If it works the same as my SEL you must leave the mirror adjustment knob on L. Then when you put it in reverse the L side wing mirror will dip.

Thank you. It works just as you say. The technician must have left the adjustment on L and I have moved it since. Two things to say. One .....there is no fool like an old fool and two.....I should RTFM!!!!!!!!!
