Just placing an order for a new Citigo and want to know what the multifunction trip computer does and whether it’s worth the extra cash.  Vehicle will be my commuter car and I do about 60 miles a week!  Getting the  stop start version with the slightly better engine and a few other bits added on but don’t want to spen another £300 if not useful.  Thank you.

It certainly looks nicer and it's the main thing you'll see when you're not looking out of the windows...

 

(if you do go for it, it's best to get the convenience pack as that gives you multifunction trip, cruise and parking sensors)

Thank you - all very helpful.  I really liked it as fun to drive and felt much more comfortable than my fiat 500 which kills my back and my family refers to as a roller skate!  I’ll go through the brochure to see about the pack you suggest.  Thanks again.

I have the multifunction Display (MFD) and can say it’s very useful!

it allows you to see the following info:

current speed in digital format

range 

oil temp

coolant temp

journey time

time

outside temp

 

i think there’s afew other ‘pages’ but I can’t remember them at the moment. I always leave it on the speedo screen as it’s easier to read and glance at.

Brilliant - that’s really helpful.  As I’m going to go for the SEL green version it already has the rear sensors and there is no option to add the convenience pack so will just pay the extra for the multi trip function.  I haven’t had a brand new car for a while so very excited (very sad for a lady of my age)!!

But it won't let you select that and cruise.

I’m not bothered about cruise as speed limit where I live is 35 mph!  I had it on my Toyota and discovery and even when we go to Europe we never used it.  Selection process is difficult though as it won’t let me select privacy glass but dealer is able to and it’s a recommended optiom.

"Slightly better engine"? What does it mean? 75hp version isn't worth the money compared to 60hp version. Exactly same engine. Difference is above 4500rpm which can't be used often.

If you choose "dynamic trim" you get different seats, a sports steering wheel, a gloss dash panel AND privacy glas. All for £150 on SE L spec.  Nowhere does it tell you what's included in the pack, but the configurator will show the interior and exterior changes.

Thank you - I have selected dynamic black interior, but you are correct it doesn’t mention the privacy glass!  Why can’t it all be simple!  I loved the black and red seats on the Monte Carlo, but the age I am it would definitely indicate a mid life crisis!  Another question - on the steering wheel is there an option to answer phone?

If you can get a trip computer on an SE L as an optional extra please let me know because my dealer or Skoda UK can't add it to our order and it's been over a month waiting to see now. No definitive answer is forthcoming. I will be surprised if it can be done.Thanks.

Ok will do - it is shown as an optional extra.  Mine is going to be c3 months until delivery and order will be finalised tomorrow.  If they can’t do it, I’ll have to go to the VW garage for an Up.

It does show on the price list as an optional extra at a cost of £230 but it seems impossible to add it to an order on an SE L model.

Yes, there is a button to answer/disconnect calls, a thumbwheel for volume and a next/previous track button.

Excellent - I couldn’t believe that in this day and age there was no phone control on the steering wheel!  The photos in the brochure and the website are a bit lacking.

They certainly are. When it comes to the fine detail it is very difficult to be absolutely certain of what you have ordered. I simply took a "might as well" punt on the trim. The privacy glass was a complete surprise when it arrived.

Need to clarify my last post. We want the trip computer but not cruise control. Apparently it can't be done.

The dealer rang today to say that the Citigo price list is a printing error and we can't have a trip computer on the SE L  asg model,it's only available on the Greentech. 

Apparently the factory emailed to say so.

As you're getting a Greentech you can have a trip computer so no need to worry.
