Fabia front door bellows removal

Featured Replies

Hi, I need to check the wiring inside the rubber bellow as the central locking has stopped working on the passenger front door.

I have a Haynes manual and it states that you release the rubber bellows by pressing down the small tab at the top, I have done this to no avail. Anybody out there got any advice?

You need to get something in behind it whilst you pull it down and away, I used a small trim removal tool to assist.

If you see no broken wires then you could try disconnecting the loom, if you need to. You need to lift the orange tab in the direction you want to pull it, it kind of self ejects.  Then look at the contacts as these can sometimes become corroded and go green, this happened to mine, so I cleaned mine with contact cleaner as a temporary measure but replaced the whole loom in the end - not easy job but doable.
