Coolant temperature sensor

Featured Replies

I understand that failing temperature sensors can be a fairly common fault on these cars.  Mine seems to have an intermittent fault.

I did some online research and typical responses to the issue tended to go something like; "probably the temp sensor, make sure you get a proper OEM one."

So, I figured out where in the car the part is located and know how to change it but I am confused about where to buy the correct part, even searching for the reprised greentop sensor using the part number thows up thousands of sensors of all makes, mostly dirt cheap.

Can anyone recommend one that has worked out well for them?  Or should I call up the parts desk at my nearest Skoda dealer instead of looking online?

GSF iirc is an oem part supplier of bosch bits or TPS (though i think they went trade only in most centres last year) or dealer..
