2007 mk1 Fabia vRS SE

Featured Replies

Hi all

Firstly, i haven’t attached pictures as i’m typing this on my phone but will add them to the advert tomorrow when i’m on my work’s computer. Sorry if this breaks any sort of rules.

For sale is my much-loved vRS SE, number 304, that i’ve had for 6 years now. I bought it when it was just me and my girlfriend and i needed a good car for going between my house in Oban and her’s in Glasgow. Now she’s my wife and we have two kids so it’s just not practical and we’ve bought a bigger car each.

This car brought my first-born home from hospital and she regularly tells me it’s her favourite car in the world so i’m genuinely gutted to be selling it. If i didn’t need the money and parking space i would be keeping it as a toy for us.

Anyway, the car has a full service history, is on approx. 108k miles, it has an MOT until mid July and is currently SORN’d. As we live on a private eastate i warm it up every few days and drive it up and down the street to stop anything seizing up.

Originally i was going to have it serviced, MOT’d and the water pump replaced (as it’s needing done due to a small leak) but i don’t really have the free time plus with it being SORN’d it makes it difficult to take anywhere. If the buyer requires all this done i’m happy to do it but would expect the price to reflect this.

The car has very light modifications - a Shark Stage 1 remap done by the previous owner (which makes it run that bit smoother and with a little more pull), 17” Spider wheels (i have a full set of 5 original alloys that came with the car but need refurbed), Octavia vRS brakes all round with Ferrodo pads and Mintex discs, front tinted windows, Ibiza FR rear backbox, Gecleant.de rear glass wiper bung, Cupra R front splitter, wrapped grille with three vRS coloured stripes, Team Heko wind deflectors and the driver’s door has been de-locked. It also has a Skoda boot mat and a set of Skoda mudflaps all round.

The only bad points that i can think of are that there’s a few stone chips on the bonnet, the fan needs a fuse so it only operates on settings 3 and 4, the driver’s mirror glass has a crack and i think it’ll need a clutch slave cylinder soon.

I’m happy to fix all known issues but would rather sell it as is so i can spend my weekends with the kids.

As said, i’ll add photos tomorrow from work. The car is located between Glasgow and Cumbernauld. I’m looking for £3,000 as the car stands or £3,500 with the wheels refurbed, a fresh MOT etc. The first to see the car will buy as it’s a cracker and has served us well.

Better late than never - photos of the car below.

The first few are of my OCD cleaning session after winter 2016 - 2017, including changing the winter wheels over. I haven't had the chance to give it another OCD clean after the winter we've just had but i do intend to give it a tidy up inside and out for the new owner. Please note that the private plate has been removed and the car will go back to it's "07" plate prior to sale.

I need the car gone now - £2k as it stands.

ETA - The battery will need charged but i can’t open the bonnet to do so. The car had been getting started and moved regularly until i went away on holiday two weeks ago and let the battery drain like an idiot while i was away!

Hi any interior pics?

Does it have heated seats?

This would be a absolute bargain for somebody this. Looks well looked after too. GLWTS.

Thanks. It has been well looked after and is much-loved. I just can’t keep hold of it any longer sadly.

@joshcowin sorry, no heated seats - just standard leather. I’ll sort some interior pics over the weekend.
