Updating skoda columbus

Featured Replies

In looking at updating the maps on my skoda columbus. Which I haven't done since purchasing in 2014. Am I able to purchase 2018 maps? Will I need to update the software? Or will it only cope with something older?

You don't need to purchase the maps you can download them free from the Skoda Update portal (just enter your VIN) and install them yourself.

Not for this unit I'm afraid. The maps are a dvd purchase from the dealers, or you could possibly find them online for free if you search for RNS510 8515.

Software level on that unit is fine, there's nothing more you need.

My bad, Skoda calling lots of different units the same name is very confusing...

Just updated to the latest maps this morning. All went well with the map update, only problem I have now is it won't let me use navigation with postcode. Going to have a scan through the forums to see if I can find an answer.

Input your country first (United Kingdom).

Thanks again rusty, I didn't think to click on that I automatically panicked thinking I'd done something wrong.
