As the title says... will a MKi Roof rack bars fit a MKKK Fabia 1.6  >  If not , is there an easy fix, like removing the clamps and bending them? or changing the bolts ? Any tips or tricks would be useful,.....  Thanks..

 

Do the ones for a Mk1 Fabia have the pin that fits in the hole inside the top of the door opening to secure them?

I thought the roof strips on top of the roof on the mark 1 had little covers that allowed the roof bars to fit.

Unlikely but it depends what bars you already have.

 

The Mk1 needs 108cm bars, whilst the Mk2 needs 127cm bars.  The fixing kits are also not compatible between the two vehicles.

What about the estate versions? Are the rails the same thickness? 

OK.. Guys... thanks for the information... I was asking for someone else...... and apparently he forgot to mention it is an estate car he has... and also the MK KK in the original post was supposed to read  MKII ! ! ! .. (typo )

 

From what "Chorlton" says in the previous post...it seems that they are not compatible anyway ! ..
