New Fabia III - dealer is not honest?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I’ve just bought brand new Fabia. I paid extra for sport suspension (I order it few days later then car but before producing dats).

I got my car yesterday and in my opinion isn’t lower at all.

Dealer is trying to convince me that I have this suspension option, and I know that it’s only 15mm than regular one, but unfortunately Dealer have very bad reviews in google, and it’s why I’m more suspicious because:

  • On label with option codes I have:

        J05 - suspension range 5

L46 - suspension range 46 installation control only

G66 - shock absorption in front

       - I haven’t find “sport shock absorption” code

  • Additionally heights points in wheel arches is: 63,5cm front and 66cm rear - I’ve checked another Fabia and has the same results.

Please help:

  • ? If you have original sport suspension which option code is describing it?
  • ? What are  the height of yours Fabia  wheel arches - if you have sport suspension or regular one?

many thanks

Welcome,

best check the transport blocks are out of the suspension.

Talk with the Dealer Principal, get him or her to go through your build and order, and invoice, and if not happy talk to Skoda UK Customer services and if you were mis-sold the Dealership can sort that out.   Give you back money, fit the correct springs, 'quote you happy'.

Then you can tell us which Dealership did the right thing.

Offski, thats true, Im going to.

but just for my concern, 63.5 and 66cm for height points of wheel arches is for regular Fabia or rather "sport susp."?

?

What wheel and tyre size?

What engine and gearbox?

The Fabian sit high anyway even with lowered suspension it's not a lowrider

Look for another one in the carpark and park nose to nose and stand back

It's not massively different in height

To OP, one thing that you could do is to check the colour coding of the front and rear springs, with that info you could then check on which PR option code they get used with by looking up the internet based VW Group parts catalogue - I'd hope stuffing the PR codes into Google etc would return what exactly these codes refer to - all a bit long winded but should give you your answer.  One other thing to try, ask your supplying dealer's parts department for a print out of the "CAR DATA" for your car,  they will need your VIN for that.

You have not been able to order a new 1.2 TSi 81kw since the middle of 2017, it was replaced by the 1.0 TSi 81kw.

If its a new car its old stock and not one that has been ordered for you personally.
