Bolero CD player stopped working

Featured Replies

As above, the CD multiplayer inside the dash has 6 CD's inside and was playing fine until the other day. Just stopped working totally mid play and get a CD error on each CD even though it recognises the ones that are in there in the menu. Cannot hear any mechanical noises coming from it when switching from one CD to another. Just a CD error message everytime. Will not eject, play or anything but the rest of the head unit works fine.

Have seached on here but can only find posts relating to the 2 credit card trick to try and grab the cd but it's not even attempting to eject anything even when it's saying it is.

I've had this a few times on mine, the last time it happened i slapped the of my dash board and it's worked fine since. The dealer had a lokk and thought it may be "copied" CD's (i have the originals) and the radio not being able to read them proply.

If it does happen again i'll upgrade to a columbus.

Will try the slap approach and see what happens. All cds are factory, not copies but who knows.

I have a cd changer assembly in the workshop (from a Bolero) if you wanna swap it out, and then you can try and evict your cds from the old unit.
