Hi, any help on this will be much appreciated, so I wanted to change the bulb in my glove box in my octy vrs, took the light out which was very awkward to do, once I took it out the inevitable happened and it fell to bits l, I've looked at pics on how to put it back together but can I hell get the spring in the right position, I've rang Skoda dealer and they are quoting me 20 pound for the light which I think is a bit steep, does anybody know we're I could source the glove box light a bit cheaper, is there anybody making 3rd party ones?? Which other vag group cars use the same light? Thanks again for any help in advance

If I recall when I changed the bulb on mine it too fell apart.

 

I think it's a counter intuitive design so doesn't go together as you might think.

 

As long as you have the parts and they aren't broken perseverance will work.

As long as you have the parts and they aren't broken perseverance will work. am at the end of me tether with it m8 haha, got loads of pics of how it goes together but just crnt get the spring right back round on its self. Seen on here people had picked em up for £9 ect, got a shock when a rang Skoda, but yeah, I'll keep on at it, cheers

 

If it's tricky to reassemble I would suggest you are doing it wrong.

Gave up, just going to order a new light, would you say it's better to remove the glove box to refit the light as I don't risk damaging the new light refiting it
