Radio Bolero activation (Witout navigation module)

Featured Replies

Hello guys,

I have seen many videos and topics explaining how to activate the rear view camera on Skoda using VCDS but, in all of them i have to use the navigation module.
The problem is, i don´t have a navigation module on my fabia. Is there a way to activate it?

Another thing is, in my radio unit (2015 Bolero) , i don´t have a plug for the rca cable. I read a topic here in this forum and it said that the camera should be connected to the pins 6 and 12 of the blue socket in the radio unit. Should i cut the rca plug and connect it directly?

My camera kit looks like this one:

Exact model number and SW version of Bolero unit?

Sorry I missed your post. With this unit RVC should be possible :)

Hi.

Thank you.

Is it necessary to activate with vcds or is it just plug and play?

As i said, i don´t have the navigation module-

You have to code it in both Bolero and PDC controller

Unfortunately i don't have PDC controller either:crying:

Based on MIB ST2 PQ units experience I can say it should be possible also to have RVC working without PDC :)

hello \i have a 2009 skoda octavia mk2 with the bolero head unit without navigation or PDC, I have installed the rvc to pins 6 and 12 please how do I code the vcds

What is your Bolero model number? Because pins 6&12 refer only to MIB units and octavia mk2 didn't have MIB factory installed.

If you don't know then post a picture.
