Heistation problem

Featured Replies

 Hi guys

This problem is pulling my hair out my poor old octavia vrs is still hesitating this is what I've had done to it right here we go. I've had all the air pipe checked and replaced and now been told there is no air leak also throttle body cleaned, spark plugs changed and gapped to 0.7 because it's been remapped, been told the car got a really good remapp had the n75 valve changed, air mass sensor changed I think that's it so my question is has anyone got any ideas please it does it on slow acceration and also at 70mph onwards any ideas will be apprecatied.

Can you explain exactly what happens - and in what situation?

Does the car feel under-powered?

Are there any loud "hissing" noises (turbo hose?)

Is it once you are up to speed and you wish to accelerate?

Is it hesitant when pulling away from a stand still?

In Neutral, is the car able to use the full rev range?

Sounds to me like it could be entering limp mode.  I had something similar at motorway speeds in my Audi A6 - and it turned out to be a Turbo Hose that had a hairline split in it, and the higher pressure when putting my foot down caused a drop in pressure and limp mode.

I'd like to say I'm not a mechanic though :)

If I put my foot straight down to the floor it doesn't hesitate and when it does do it it feels like it's holding back, the garage have appartley checked all air pipes and turbo pipe,if in natural it will rev up with no problems.if I'm doing 60mph and accerate slowly it will hesitate but put foot to floor she goes well.i wouldn't say there's a loud turbo noise.

Thank you for your reply

Just to say I've got no faults codes on the ecu and no lights on

Did you find out what was the problem on this as it sounds like a very similar problem to mine and I’m still searching for the solution

Unfortunately I still have the problem the garage I've been taking it to which is a Volkswagen specialist is saying the only other thing it could be is a fuel problem it's very hard for them as there's no codes etc they changed the fuel filter the first time it went in there but at the moment I've just got to put up with it until I've the money to put it back into the garage
