Has anyone swapped their halogen reversing bulbs for LED ones?

In the showroom today a Kodiaq reversed in with bright white LED bulbs.

Then a Karoq reversed in and the halogen bulbs look very dim and yellow in comparison.

I’ll have to see what type they are and do some investigation.

 

I'm not sure about Karoq fitment but I've used these on my last two cars and they've been great, no errors and they've lasted.  Very white and they also don't have Cree chips plastered all over them which can be visible through the light cluster:

Not fitted them yet as I don't have the car but they arrived quickly and seem to be good quality.  (again, I'm not sure of karoq bulb type/fitment so please don't just go buying these )

If anyone wants to convert their reversing bulbs to LED they are W16W bulbs in the edition model, not sure if all models are the same.

Its a bit tricky to change them as you have to remove the whole lamp cluster. Its only held in by one plastic screw though.

When I get my bulbs I'll put a quick guide together.

Not wanting to go too much off-topic on this, but is there a LED alternative for the rear indicator lamps for the Karoq? If it's a bit of a hassle taking the light cluster out it'd be worth doing at the same time, plus they'd look a whole lot better.

I think you might need to add resistors to stop them flashing too fast.

It would be good to have it all LED at the back to match the front.

I have just ordered White and Yellow/Amber ones of these - Reverse & Indicators - for my future Karoc - at this price, £6.33 (paid via Paypal for security) delivered, albeit having to wait 30/50 days, looks good vfm. They are Canbus error free and don't require resistors.
