Bolero on 2010 Superb

Featured Replies

Hi all.. I have already had some info sent about this but I am now looking to action it.

I have a 2010 Superb with the Bolero head unit..  I have been told that no e does not have the Bluetooth fitted so I am either looking for pointers as to how to fit the Bluetooth to the head unit that I have or to replace it with one that will allow me to pair my phone for full connectivity.. for calls only not worried about streaming music etc.. just need my contact list to appear on the stereo screen so I can access it that way.

Any pointers or help would be appreciated

You should find someone with VCDS to do an autoscan to confirm exactly what your car is made of. You'll probably also need VCDS to code the car after fitting an OEM bluetooth module.

Do you have a maxidot cluster? Easiest way to tell is when a door is open, do you get an image of the car showing exactly which doors are open on the instrument cluster?

Yes I do have the maxidot cluster

In which case, 3C8 035 730 D/E module is the most fully featured BT module available.

A 3C8 035 730 A/B/C should also be fine for what you've asked for, they are similar to D/E but have no WiFi hotspot ability with rSAP enabled phones.

I expect there are also other modules with lower functionally but I don't know much about them.

Typically, you'll need a BT retrofit wiring loom and one of those modules. Installation is pretty easy, it's normally a case of adding the new wiring between the headunit and the car, adding the mic and then coding the car to expect BT.
