How many Kodiaq's in the UK?

Featured Replies

Stole this from a 'competitor' forum, but it made for interesting reading.

I've a Scout on order, looks like there are only 91 of them registered in the UK as of the end of last year...

Any idea what 'S-A' refers to at the end of some of the models?

DSG auto gearbox?

Yup, semi automatic.

I have plenty of better things to do with my time, but couldn’t resist a bit of number crunching... Looks like the Edition and SEL are pretty much tied as the most popular models; diesel and petrol are evenly split; DSG and 4x4 is massively preferred over manual gearboxes and 2x4.

I was surprised by the preference for 4x4.

Edition: 2338

SEL: 2457

SE: 928

SE Technology: 105

S: 9

Diesel: 2973

Petrol: 2946

DSG: 4270

Manual: 1649

4x4: 4014

2x4: 1905

Remember these figures only come from last year and are still waiting to be updated for this year as far as I can tell. Especially as ones like the sport line are missing from the stats

^^^ Exactly.

Q1's Scouts now first registered in the UK, only what was delivered and first registered could show in the few weeks after they became available.

As to the others, there are people waiting and what is first ordered and registered of any model is often just what Dealerships can Order,

and leasing companies are getting flogged cheap by manufacturers to get them on the roads and seen.

Even poor selling models will have a minimum number First Registered every quarter by manufacturers to have them not looking like stale cakes.

Plenty pre-reg, Demonstrators, Management cars etc etc.

Sitting not selling at the Asking Prices but can become a bargain eventually.

Well, hadn't ever seen a Karoq, then a grey one followed me around my local m'way junction on Tuesday pm, followed moments later by a Kodiaq in the same dreary grey, struggled to separate them visually, Kodiaq perhaps one extra small rear side window?

I seem to be spotting more Karoqs around my local area than Kodiaqs currenly. I think I've only seen two Kodiaqs so far on the road. One of those being the demo from the local dealership

Yeah but the stats don't show the whole picture. Some specs only come in 4x4 so people are 'forced' to have it

Likewise DSG over manual being massively preferred is what the ******s WANT you to think. It's only preferred because the buggers won't let you have a manual with a decent engine these days. Automatics die out much quicker so more new cars in the future is good for manufacturers!

Not that I'm bitter or anything!
