Is there a definitive answer to this question?  If the key is deactivated b y touching the door handle within 5 secs. of locking will this prevent the use of signal extenders that are available on Amazon and E.bay to steal the car.? I have had three answers from different Skoda dealers.  One says yes it will, one said it might, the other said " what is a signal extender?  It would be nice to know what the answer is.

The problem with the pieces of kit is that there are various types out there for the underworld to play with. If you are concerned, get yourself a Faraday bag and keep your key in it when the car is locked. This should stop access to key. It works on my current car (non-Skoda) in so far as if I stand by the car I cannot unlock it until it is removed from the bag. Seems to work as an effective signal blocker.

My back up is insurance, but I would prefer to keep the car.

No it's a Kodiaq key. Edition spec.

Why arm't the karoq Edition spec keys like that???

I think the spare is a plain black plastic thing but the main key is nicely chromed.

unless your throwing your key into a bowl, does it really matter lol
