I would imagine after that it’s significantly in better shape than when brand new. 

 

Dont forget main dealers aren’t detailers. 

 

Here in the UK, a new car will usually have a bucket of sh!tty water thrown over it, then wiped down with a grit infested sponge by a man who is probably wanted by immigration officials.

Same here. I saw one new octavia in horrible condition came all scratched out. And it was new, still with plastic covers on.

I have a brilliant silver Roomie and since new (4 years ago) every 3 months I have waxed the car with Autoglym High Definition Wax. I  only use water (no detergent) when washing the car and squashed flies and other contaminants wash off the surface requiring no scrubbing or special additives as the surface is so smooth to touch. Paint still has the showroom shine and no scratch marks. Highly recommended.
