Inspection & Oil Service Messages Still On

Featured Replies

Hi.

Had the first 20k miles service done as per at Skoda in Leicester recently. They didn't reset the interval messages.

As posted in a previous post this morning, the car's been in for accident repairs for the past 3 months, so the constant "Ping" every time I start up or turn off hasn't been there to annoy me.

Having got into the car this morning it's now driving me nuts. I've managed to reset the "Oil Service" message, but does anyone no how to reset the Inspection message?

Thanks in advance.

Your Skoda dealer has shot himself in the foot.

Look for evidence the service has actually been done completely, new oil,  filters etc. They didn't reset the service indicator, an important part, and it should have been obvious to the mechanic who takes your car on the final test drive which is an obligatory part of the official service schedule (pings and messages), then its very likely inspections , fault scans, updates etc havent been done.

Complain to Skoda UK customer service and ask them to check your computer service records has been updated.  Ask them for either a refund or free services in compensation.

And consider using another dealer.

In answer to the question:

To reset 'inspection now', turn on the hazard lights.  The rest is the same as for re-setting 'service now!
