Parts that fit an Octavia mk1

Featured Replies

Hi. I was wondering if anyone knows if a3 or mk 4 golf front hubs are the same as Octavia and interchangeable?

Between the Octavia and the Golf the parts are generally the same although this can vary with spec eg All MKIV Golfs had rear brake discs but some lower spec versions of the Octavia had rear brake drums (as mine does!). However parts can vary depending on the model life-cycle and cut-off points vary between the different makes

Mk4 shared the same chassis as the Octavia 1, along with the A3/Leon

So maybe mk1 a3 front hub assembly would fit my 56 plate 1u Octavia?

Possibly - a 56 plate Octavia MKI is an after model version produced for the Taxi industry  - the MKII Octavia was the current model in 2006 so parts may have moved on a bit.

@Moley_mole - Based on what's already been said, I'd suggest checking the PCD of hub and wheel(s), since it changed from 5x100 to 5x112 from Mk1 to Mk2.

Check the photos - We bought what was described as a front offside Octy wheel off eBay, but it turned out to be a MkIV Golf one and did not fit.
