So I'm looking in the glove box and wondering what this is? The metallic bit ( not the book  )

Actually I can see it's not a port/socket  now I enlarged the pic . Any one can tell me what it is please ^^^

Have you tried pushing it?

Looking at the Picture I'd say it's a screw ( M22?) to hold the glove box in 

You talking about the Torx-headed screw holding the glove box in? @horkin

Definitely just a screw holding it all together! 

 

However, there is an SD slot in the glovebox for the media system. It's on the right (in RHD cars), in a small oval rubber bit. 

Thanks guys, I suspected it was part of the fixings holding it all together but it just looks like something of other importance. It's a bit in your face when you look inside .  I do know about the SD card slot. Haven't had occasion to use it yet as I've only played music via bluetooth so far.
