Quartz Grey Vs Moon White Dilemma

Featured Replies

First world problem I know.!

I don't see many Moon white Edition's on the road so I am basically making my purchase decision based upon YouTube Video. I even order the Black Triglav's to get the look.

However, I have seen the Quartz Greys and the do look very sophisticated in that colour. Obviously they are more popular for a reason and do suit the car well especially with the beige interior.

So I've got a week to confirm with dealer before it's too late to make any changes to the spec. I'm planning to keep the car 4 yrs and  tbh Im not one to be out cleaning it every weekend..

Given the above what would most ppl on this forum choose? Moon White / Black Leather or Quartz Grey / Beige Leather.

I have moon with black and really happy with it

Neither, petrol blue every time for me... and I would never have a car with beige leather.

If I had to choose one of those two exterior colours, it would probably be quartz grey - white and it just looks like you're trying to fit in with the Audi, BMW + Mercedes crowd of SUVs. But it would have to still be black inside!

Quarts grey looks  like primer not a color ....don't like it...I would take moon white!! I chose myself business grey and beige leatjer interior...this color brings out every corner of the car you can see it's muscles every angle...seen some petrol blue kodiaqs...like any other dark colored car nothing special and you don't even notice the car...

Do you get any sun in Estonia? :tongueout:

Petrol blue is awesome with the sun shining on it - certainly not dark. And sorry, but 'business grey' is as dull as the name suggests (my brother has one).

However, like all these things - beauty is in the eye of the beholder. We all choose the colour we like, which is why I fail to see how anyone gets any value from asking a question such as this on an Internet forum!

From day 1 the dealers and brochures mixed up Quartz Grey (dark) with Business Grey (light).

Primer Grey was something else - I think officially known as Meteor Grey - a real case of Naked Emperor from Porsche to Audi to Skoda.

I’m biased - enjoying a Quartz Grey beast :)

Mine is Quartz with black interior

Sorry yeah o was mixed up myself...quarts grey is very ok. How they say about this grey color like audi and porche...lets call it mouse grey:) quarts is ok.

And we do have sun here but yeah its a matter of taste...

By chance I saw a white Edition spec Kodiaq this afternoon in Paris, working as a taxi. It didn’t look very special. I’m a little biased though as ours is quartz grey. The white might do a better job of looking clean for longer as we’ve had a metallic white car before that was surprisingly good at hiding salt spray and road grime.

How it looks on the online configurator, brochure and when you pick it up...

How it looks the minute you get it home...

This applies to any car though, regardless of colour.

I'm not a fan of the stark contrast between the white paint and black plastic, but then I know this is exactly what attracts most people to white.

This is what I have now...

Personal choice. They both look stunning when freshly cleaned, which lasts about a millisecond when it's out on the road. I suspect white is slightly easier to clean when it's warm though.

Looking for both colors from traffic and I would say they both look very beautiful and eyecatching;)

Maybe the quarts grey more relaxing...

Per above comments if the vehicle is clean then most of the colours I have seen are rather eye catching. The cars shape and creases are flattering generally and the various colours on offer set of what is a nice design in my view. Colour is such a personal preference. I cycled through the colour choice when purchasing and came down to white, quartz grey and business silver. Was eventually torn between business silver and quartz grey. I rather liked white too but my wife did not so that was that. I am not personally a fan of blue or red cars but when I saw the petrol blue I must say that was rather stunning too. I figure whatever you go for as long as you like it and it's clean and sparkly it will look nicest. Not practical though unless you have time to wash the thing every other day! What sealed quartz grey for me other than liking the colour was the fact it hides dirt better and has a grey primer so if you get a light scratch/mark or two it is easy to hide and polish out.
