Hi All,

 

I have a 59 plate (2010) Octavia VRS TDI DSG and have the TPMS and TCS lights on with an error code of 778 which is the steering angle sensor. My local garage cannot get the steering angle sensor to communicate and have been told I may need to replace the sensor. I have been told this is either behind the steering wheel or on the steering rack but whenever I have asked no-one can actually tell me where is it or what it looks like or what part number I would need to replace it.

Its the FL model. 

It comes up as ESP Fault - which I have also been told could be a speed sensor which on the pre fl was built into the abs system I believe, but think on this one it is a separate sensor.

any help anyone could give me or anywhere to have a look for more help?

I'd start by getting a VCDS autoscan done and posting up the results. That should give some clues
