Firstly what a cracking communite! I'm on about 15 different forums, and this seems to be one of the nicest and most chilled out I've seen!

Brilliant info in all the search threads I've been too, and I have a feeling I might be on here a little more in a week or two

Well I was speaking to some friends about the DC5 or S2K thing, and one of them being the typical rep came out with the Skoda VRS thing. His other car being a 400bhp STi I thought he was joking when he said it was a superb car, with great power and tourqe standard, and super when chipped.

So being bored today we both went for a drive and passed one of the local big car firms, unknown they now have a Skoda garage!

Destiny must have been around as they have a VRS that I could take a look and drive on the spot.

What can I say! Superb all round car.

The power is superb ( coming from a ITR ) for what I was expecting ( it's 180bhp of diesel powaaa! ) and with the chip it should be plenty to keep me happy ( well exhasut and filter are a must ). The handling isn't anywere near the Teg but thats too be expected, but it wasnt as soft as some people say, same goes for the brakes.

The interior is of course VAG quality, the leather looks superb! Postion was a little high, but I'm sure theres a height changer somewere.

Overall they offerd a decent part ex for my other car ( dead on glass book ), but they didn't seem so happy to shift from the

Welcome to Briskoda and it's good to hear that you like our community. :D

Have a look at Skoda UK's site here for an idea of what other dealers are asking for a similar car. Click on Showroom then Used Cars to start a search. From what I can see there, the one Slater's are selling looks about right. 'Call us' for previous owners is intruguing, especially as a RAC DVLA search on the reg number shows that the vehicle has had no owners. Let us know what you find out if/when you ask.

Why im gods name did I think it was a diesel ? Do they do a diesel VRS? Im sure my mate gets nearly 40mpg on a 65% motoway use?

Even better if it's a petrol!

For my defence I didn't hear the car startup and it's very quiet once inside! ( and the fact there where some new STi reving in the garage next door....honesty! )

Is your mate talking about the faster model, the Fabia vRS :sofahide: which is deisel, and will get 60mpg?

Just had a call back and they won't shift from the £9500 price tag as he said that the part ex value is higher than it should be.

It had one previous owner, all documents fine and dandy, also a HPI check came up with 1 previous owner. Guy bought, service and part-ex this car all in the same garage if that makes any difference. Might even be one of the staff cars.

Sounds like an Octavia vRS to me at thart price, really nice car indeed.

Welcome and enjoy the site.

All I now need is reasurance that the £9.5k is spot on and I'm not being overcharged?

Had a look at other sites on the Skoda site, and although they are all the same price I was expecting the garage to play a little more ball with the price?

Should be able to get the all important full tank of petrol on top of 12month warranty, 12 months tax, and hopefully next mot free.

Yes......or.....No?

If your happy then thats all that matters.

But really need to know details like mileage, age, colour, spec to really work out a price.

Remember you can still find new MK1 vRS's for around £12k

Opps my bad.

Looks a stunner to me and the price doesnt sound bad for a 53 plate, just look at the motor for the money.
