EPC Light - Skoda Essendon

Featured Replies

Hi,

my 2010 Skoda Octavia had the EPC light come on, and then started running very rough. Essendon Skoda said it was the charcoal filter, charged me $1000 to replace, and sent me on my way.

2 months later, the exact same thing happens. THis time I'm told it's the spark plugs, another $300 and sent me on my way.

3 days later, the exact same thing. Does anyone know what it might be? I'm not sure Essendon Skoda are the right company to look at this fault. Anyone have any recommendations?

It's difficult to understand why EPC lights on.

You'll need a diagnostic scanner or a tool at least someone in your area to get the fault codes..

Then post here to get helped.

They think it might be a faulty injector and are going to swap it over and see if the misfire follows the injector. Have held the car for 3 days now, surely it doesn't take 3 days to swap around an injector. Do you guys think I'm missing something?
