Cappuccino No More!

Featured Replies

I ordered my Karoq SE L 1.5 TSI DSG today. I saw a Cappuccino Beige in the showroom and absolutely fell in love with it, so much so that I envisaged myself driving it around the English countryside the whole time we went through the paperwork.

When it came to doing the factory order however, my dealer and I found no option for a Cappuccino Beige and after making some inquiries we discovered that it was discontinued just 48 hours ago.

I went with the ever popular Quartz Grey in the end but I’d be lying if I said that My heart wasn’t broken. :crying:

Sorry to hear that if that's what you liked best - on the other hand you could have the consolation that it will be a far safer bet in terms of residuals...

The beige does look nice so it's a shame if they're discontinuing it. I don't really get this grey craze that seems to exist right now, they're just a bit... dull. In my opinion of course.

Very much a personal choice IceyLady. Coming from a cappu beige Yeti we wanted a real change away from any shade of grey so went for the black this time.

Liked the cappu though - looked very different in different lights.

I have the Jungle Green Yeti and absolutely adore it. I wasn’t so taken with the new Emerald Green. It looks great but I could see myself growing tried of it.

I still think the Quartz Grey is a lovely colour and looks very sporty. I just wish I hadn’t seen the other one haha. I had no intention of buying a Beige when I left my house this morning.

The quartz is the nicest of the greys no doubt... If I was held at gunpoint and made to pick a grey it would be that :D

No Tom, no no no

It has to be Business Grey...that other grey is simply too popular... (common?) ;)

Did I say just that??:o

Having said that, I was at a Nation Trust place recently. Could find my grey car in a sea of grey cars.....

What are people’s thoughts on the Meteor Grey? I was a little tickled by it but the man wasn’t keen.

You can probably guess my thoughts on meteor grey hehe.

Had red not been bizarrely high priced I think I might have gone for that. Certainly easy to spot!

To me, Business Grey and Meteor Grey are very similar, but Business is a metallic and Meteor is a solid. Both the same price so I don't know why anyone would order Meteor. I had Velvet Red, but on the Edition it was only an extra £325 which didn't seem too bad. Wouldn't have paid £900 I don't think, but it's true, it is easy to spot!!

Sorry! All personal taste of course, there are no right or wrongs.

It is a marmite colour, love it or hate it.

personally it reminds me of naval dockyards, near enough battleship grey, so is a sad colour as it makes one think of great ships lying unused because navy can’t afford to run them.

Some people have strange tastes, saw a BMW coupe yesterday painted matt Kakhi green.

what is current obsession with grey, when I grey up in 1970s, about quarter of cars were red, 20 years ago green was popular, now its sludge grey

Mini has some questionable matt browns and greens too. Really not a fan of those, but each to their own I suppose.

We love it, but IIRC it wasn't available on the Karoq when we placed the order. We like that retro feel.

Also like the Meteor Grey. It is understated, like the car.

Cappuccino Beige  is still on the configurator.

Why cannot Skoda get there act together and keep it up to date?

Colin

Ohh does this mean I now have a rare car? :D
