Quick question. I want to fit a new rack, however neither the Haynes nor Skoda workshop manual addresses how to get to the top bolts holding the rack on.

 

Is it possible or does the suspension need to come out completely to reach them?

It's front subframe out.....but it's not a massive job....unbolt the brake calipers and the steering column on the inside of the car.....unbolt the roll bar from the body and then undo the 4 bolts in the wheel arches and the pinch bolts underneath.....it's a half hour job.
