caddy pickup help

Featured Replies

Hi guys I need some help or point me in the right direction of where to post this thread

I've just bagged myself a pickup as a restoration project, it's the vw version of the felly, I need a new tailgate for ease or if I can magically repair this one I need the strip that goes along the top with the push button. The middle section of the rear bumper is missing along with nearside front wing and the offside has a giant hole at the top about 14 inches long where the crap has been picked up off the tires and eroded through being that there are no plastic inner arches.

I'm also struggling with the front I can't seem to find any VW grills or bumpers that go on Rather than trying to find the parts that are needed to rebuild the front end I was considering taking off the front slam panel and putting on something very similar like the Inca Van by seat or the Caddy Mark 2 van or Polo mark 3. I have seen images and heard rumours that you can put a complete Mark 3 Golf front end on (Inc engine) but to me it just does not look right.

So basically what I'm asking is does anybody have the knowledge of doing front end swap ( what works.. what doesn't... what can....) including engines running gear I'm not that fussed whether it's VW or Skoda because it's origin is actually Skoda
