My mistake! Lol

'Autocar' as in the Editor & Journalist should know Skoda did not finish the production of the Mk2 Fabia vRS in 2013. It was announce they would, then sales picked up.

It did not sell well really with less than 3,000 in the UK, but then it sold better than the sister cars with the same drivetrain, 14 TSI / TFSI 132-136kw DSG from VW with the Polo GTI, SEAT Ibiza

& Audi A1 185ps a sales disaster.

Not that facts are important to Autocar.  Pity Autocar never pulled VW up on how 20% or more of the Twincharger engines failed.

**If you want a 'Proper vRS buy an Octavia', *** (When the orderbooks are open)

or some other big heavy fat lump of a vehicle, all the show and some go, but nothing to do with Motorsport Success or Heritage, more to do with People Carriers, Taxi / Airport transport type size.

Its all could/would/possibly/might.  All fart and no s**te.

Problem with the Nürburgring is that manufacturers are always testing stuff in states of disguise. Just because the body is recognisable it doesn’t mean what’s being tested will end up on that model.

Photoshop has come along way.

Take the SportLine, fit slightly restyled bumers, add 50bhp, a few vRS badges and a the Race Blue and Rallye Green paint.

Job done.

Hybrids & EV's are what they need really to be getting around those tracks, for BREXIT UK customers and pollution reduction.

Weight and size reduction as well maybe for in UK's congested towns, cities and roads.

As it is they are more interested in magazine space with vehicles they will sell / lease that not many of.

I see the text for that pic says that "Our exclusive image preview the hot Kodiaq could look.

I'd say the "journalist" -  or was it Yoda -  that writes lines like this is only slightly less talented than the "artist" who cut, magnified and then pasted those crater alloys onto the green monster.

First there were two identical threads, now we've got two identical links :D

I would have deleted this thread had I double checked about there being a previous :x I've never seen the option. Guess that's something only the mods can do lol

You can do a search of the forum, that's what I did to check before posting mine ☺️

Was about to update this with the same. Kodiaq RS now confirmed haha

Officially presented at Paris in October... so if they open the order books soon afterwards, I would expect the first deliveries to be around Jan/Feb 2019.

That will be amazing, it would be simply clever.

So revealed in October, the details, engine, power, VED , WLTP, Prices and order books open and a build week and delivery to the UK in 3 to 4 months.

Good find, so more aggressive styling on the lower part of the front bumper (covered by black tape in the pictures) and real exposed twin exhausts.

I'm guessing more colour-coding of the black plastic parts, as per the SportLine and L&K.

Other than that, business as usual?

Which existing Octavia vRS would this be,  is there ones being built currently meeting the new emissions,

the one that they have yet to open order books on..after closing them to get a car ready for the WLTP.   Autocar favourite for VW group reveals,  after all the parent company has VW as a client.

Previewing would be good if there was some detail on what the vehicle will actually be.

'Believed to be',  According to sources, 'or 'a source told us' so  that will be the same Media Employees of Skoda / VW that like so leaking and suggesting and taking up magazine and social media space.

Autocar should ask their sources or just Skoda CZ or Skoda UK about the builds and supply and delivery of models 'currently' ordered or with order books open and what the hold ups are all about.

When the latest engine Fabia, Karoq, Kodiaq, Octavia & Superb model vehicles will  be in UK showrooms and the keys in customers hands before or after September.

Ask Skoda when the figures from the WLTP on their vehicles will be published.

The ŠKODA KODIAQ RS is powered by a 2.0 BiTDI with 176 kW (239 PS)

So, a Kodiaq vRS will get it's backside whipped by a Superb Sportline.

Unless there are plans to release a 280bhp petrol engine in it, then the whole exercise is pointless. Fur coat and no knickers, as they say.

I wonder if they’ve managed to reduce the weight. Otherwise it’s a few horses short.
