Fuel Filter Housing broken now replaced

Featured Replies

Hi all

The fuel filter on my 2005 BKC Elegance, part no. 3CO 127 400B finally gave up the ghost and was weeping fuel from the lid.

Fast forward the garage I go to for the odd job has replaced it as I sourced a used 3CO 127 400K silver top one next door £20 from a 2008 Golf.

New jubilee clips for all the filter end pipes x 4. The old rusty VAG ones break when touched. Both my brother and myself now noticed an occasional wobble when idling like every 3-4 seconds. Also when getting to 2000rpm seems like a small hesitation then power restored.  The car isn't driven much but given I put 200k on it myself it never drove like this before or displayed the idle shake.

Any ideas anyone?

It did get a new fuel filter when replacing the housing. I believe the purging/priming  takes care of itself on a 1.9 PD.  No other issues observed so far. Thanks in advance.
