Xenon lens replacement..

Featured Replies

Hii...

I have to change one of the xenon lens on my car...

The last owner apparently didnt know how to exchange xenon bulb, so it had loosened and melted away half the lens.

Tried to figure out what type of lens it is but didint find anything .. anyone who knows ??

I also have an L&K 2002 with a factory fitted xenon like yours, I guess. Recently I damaged my headlight and found that that TPS, a VW/Skoda etc. trade parts supplier who also sell to private owners, supply a complete headlight casing (the bare unit) at a cost of £118 + vat, as opposed to £450 + vat for the complete unit.  Therefore, if your components are still usable and this availability is replicated in Norway, perhaps it’s an option for you. If it is and you replace the casing, you will have a virtually new unit on that side, as I did with the other side less bright by comparison. I then removed that h/light and carefully cleaned the lens on the xenon (dip) light and the lens on the fog light using cleaner used for spectacles. NOTE - I avoided touching the reflectors, they have a very thin coating which is very easily damaged.  Once re-assembled I was very pleased with the result.

Hope this is of some help to you.
