Monte Carlo insurance.

Featured Replies

Does the Monte Carlo cost a fair bit more to insure than an S EL?  Just wondered if the 'sportiness' pushed up premiums for those of you who have swapped for one.

I would have thought so but prob not by much.

LOL,  110ps of Sportiness,  they would be taking the pith if they do load premiums, just like Skoda are with the Rally DNA,  i thought they were about 'Crispness & connectivity when Skoda spun the new youthful 3rd Generation Fabia.

Insurance companies are always looking for excuses to put premiums up for no apparent reason.

I just wondered if the words 'Monte Carlo' and the fancy seats, spoiler etc was enough to make the insurance people rub their hands together?

So many factors involved and just because a car has some trick decals, black alloys and some sporty styling cues doesn't necessarily mean it will cost more than a 'standard' model to insure.

Postcode, how many others have been written off/stolen, underwriters guidance, driver A vs driver b, etc etc.

Was looking at a friends 66-reg Monte Carlo TSI to-day and noticed it was key-start, not push-button. What goes on?

I don't think there would be much of a difference but check for both and see what you get, I've had a non fault claim from last year, women hit me whilst I was parked, looking at insurance quotes for the new swift sport, cheapest me not declaring the claim was like 1.2k and with the claim it was around 1.6k complete madness, I claimed off her insurance and the damage done to my car was less than 1k
