Possible Competitor for Superb

Featured Replies

Skoda will need to keep on the ball.  Toyota are to bring back the Camry in 2019.  This is larger than the outgoing Avensis.  I think this will provide some serious competition in the "reasonably priced very large saloon" market.  Probably worth a look at if you're not badge loyal.

Is this the same camry which is classed as a full size sedan in the usa ? If so, they have a nice spec on them... Though im not a fan of the jap stuff in saloon type form

My dad had one of the last of the original incarnation. Lovely car and a real competitor. If it happens...

you have to look at the European version which is a bit different to the USA version.  As a former and very satisfied Avensis owner, it did catch my eye.  However, I'm not sure it has the premium looks of the Superb.

Funnily enough, I was driving behind an Avensis estate yesterday, reminiscing about the Avensis I had back in ‘99.

I was thinking it looked a bit small, otherwise I may have considered it. I will have to think about the Camry, assuming they do an estate.
