Central Convenience System location?

Featured Replies

Hi there,

need help as my central convenience system got loose, it isn't locked in position and it rattles on bumps. Unit is working fine but would like to attach it. I attached picture of it, it has two holes for bolts but where are the bolts and where to screw it?

The module is located above the clutch pedal. If you take the lower dash off on the drivers side and look up you'll be able to see the bottom of the module (with the two plastic clips you can see on that picture). I had the dash of my car yesterday to fit cruise control and from what I can tell convivence controller is just held in with clips. With where it's mounted it looks almost impossible to get to those bolts if they were there, even with the entire dash off. I think the best idea is probably just to remove the lower dash and see how much you can move the module / clip it back in.

Thanks.

Consulted ETKA in the meantime, yes there is plastic bracket that holds this module in place,

This bracket sits in this metal dashboard support:

You can see triangle holes where the bracket gets in to place.

Just need to check if i need to bolt it in also, as there are holes for bolts on this metal carrier and bolts are also visible on the ETKA too.

Just to add a comment, i have resolved this issue. Bracket was broken as you can see on this picture, so it jumped all around.

Also, it is very hard to approach this part, dashboard needs to go out, and many other parts. So i will add this link here, maybe you had chance to see it, but this is one of the best diy guides on the net.
