Octavia scout fl “ambient temp sensor” help

Featured Replies

Hi guys, just a quick one... having issues with air con after having it re gassed. Seems to work then gets warm then decides to go cold and sometimes if the sun is shining on front screen this may affect it... found this on diagnostics but not sure if it means interior sensor or outside temp sensor. My dash temp for out side reads correctly and there’s no fault codes for air con etc

Hi, it does it in both modes. I’m just comparing reading to another Skoda Octavia same vehicle but the common rail version as mines the 2010 BMM engine. Should be he same aircon tho

I have just changed the outside temp sensor and now I’m getting NO calculated ambient temp yet the dash temp is working

UPDATE, I have changed outside temp sensor and also window screen sunlight/rain sensor and now have readings again on the “calculated ambient temperature” yet aircon still isn’t getting cold allthough it is slightly cooler than the heat outside... wish I hadn’t of touched it.

I have noticed that the refrigerant pressure is 10bar yet in the other Skoda Octavia I used to take readings from had a pressure of 17.bar while aircon working. I can’t have a leak as I’ve owned this car for over 6 months and there’s always been pressure in the system as I pressed the valve and it released aircon gas... so finally I had it regassed just a few days ago and it did work allthough intermittent and certainly got warmer when in sunlight hence changing the window screen sunlight sensor.

Is there a way to reset the climate control as I did change the whole unit to a better cleaner newer looking one mostly because it gave me fault codes... tested replacement unit and all was good.
