Engine speed sensor?

Featured Replies

Hi, having a problem with my 07 BMM. the glow plug light flashes, it's down on power, idles high and it hard to start. Had a mate plug in vcds and got the following code:

P0322 engine speed sensor g28 no signal intermittent.

Amyone know where is the speed sensor located on a bmn engine?

Speling!

I think it's behind the oil filter housing, it is on a BMN engine.

I would check the battery first, mine had the same when the battery was on the way out, CAN BUS systems don't like below 12V.

I think the bmm is similar to the 1.9 so might be in same place as that engine (not that I can help on the actual location)

Thanks for the replies guys. The battery is fine. I had a look for the sensor the other day. Looks like the oil cooler has to come out of the way to get to it! No room at all by the look of it.

You're welcome, at least it's not the battery like mine, I had white smoke out the back, scanned it, came up with speed sensor intermittent.

Changed the battery cured, still got the speed sensor in a draw.
