Quick VRS drop link question

Featured Replies

Hi guys

Changing a few bits on the front end this evening drop links included and I noticed something odd when fitting the new ones.

Basicly they arent the same as the original ones in that they aren't left and right specific.

They are Meyle so not cheap ones and looking at all aftermarket sets sold this seems to be the way they are sold so its not a packaging error I'm dealing with.

So one side will fit the same as original but the other side will need to fit with the ball joint inside the ARB and the nut outside, is this correct.

Input from anyone who has changed their own would be great

Also managed put pull my driveshaft out of the CV while removing the lower arms if anyone has any tips on getting this back in

See pic for a better explanation

Those new arb links are both for the left hand side. You should have an opposing pair like the old ones you've taken off. 100% as I've just looked at mine to double check.

As for the cv joint it's a case of pushing hard to get the shaft slotted back in.

As above, they are definitely sided, must be a supplier error.

Ok cheers guys.

I was thrown off of the idea of them being wrong because most of the listings on ebay show them as being the same and not opposing.

Unless I'm being really thick and they twist of course

@niceyellow vrs so nice hard push and a bit of a wiggle of the driveshaft should see it relocate?

Should do. Bit of jiggery pokery, you'll know when you've got it back in.
