SAT NAV UPDATE HEEEEELP!!

Featured Replies

I need some help guys. Sat Nav in my MK2 FL Octavia VRS Blackline is and Amundsen Plus or RNS315. Its currently on Version 4. I have a VW Sat Nav SD card, foolishly purchased off eBay. When I insert it, I get an error. The Skoda website says I need to update in a dealership. How can I update my Sat Nav TODAY? Can I download updates off the web?I have a MacBook so would need some decent instructions I’m a computer mong! I’ve tried he Skoda update portal and just get told that my car can only be updated at a dealer....
Thanks, Fish.

if it is an Amundsen+ you need an sd card loaded with the info but not used in any other radio as first use locks it to that radio - I got one off ebay from Latvia it was a last year version 9 but it updated flawlessly, there are apparently probs with the mk 10 versions connected to traffic info  --  I think it causes a reset of the unit!  -  I ca pm ypu info re my update card if reqd!

@NFISHER I also have a Blackline (all be it a Hatch) and have the same issue with the Nav being very out of date!

How have you got on with getting an update sorted?

Also a Blackline owner, and I also went down the ebay route last year for an SD card

v9 card cost me £45 in April '17  from a UK seller  (who doesn't seem to be active any more)

Took about 4 hrs for it to all update properly (did it whilst on a long journey) but all works fine
