MK11 CRUISE CONTROL NOT WORKING.

Featured Replies

The cruise control on my 2011 2.0tdi stopped working along with the gear indicator on the dash.

I have taken the car to two dealers without success to date.  One Skoda specialist says it is possibly one of two ECUs that is faulty the other wants to carry out a diagnostic check taking 3-4 hours at £80+ per hour plus VAT. Has anyone out there had a similar problem

Might be worth letting a local VW/Audi/Skoda specialist have a look as they will almost certainly undercut the main dealers price! Where about are you?

I live in N.Ireland and VAG specialist are not very plentiful over here.

The main dealers for VAG dealers seem to hold us to ransom

I took the car to the main VW dealer who would not even look at it he told me to take it to the Skoda dealer.

I took it to another so called VAG specialist who told me he did not have the specialised computer pack to test for the fault

i really love the car its such a lovely driver and so roomy but I am now considering its future and if I do change should I go for another Skoda.

Get an autoscan done using VCDS or similar, there are a few members based in NI that might help for beer tokens:

If you are in Belfast or anywhere reasonably close to it I would recommend to take it to Walsh Motors. They are specializing in VAG related cars and have all the tools that a VAG main dealer would have. I am 40 miles away, but it's the only place I bring my car, even for a simple service. They are also very reasonable priced, in my experience. Would highly recommend them to anyone.
