Hi all,

Bought my first Skoda, a 56 Octavia Estate with the PD105. Shes got a few niggles but has alot of history and drives really nicely.

Currently looking to upgrade the stereo (its a stream mp3 atm) so I can do hands and cable free music and calls. may start a thread as I have potential "Free" way of doing it with an old cd changer emulator.

Also currently have the EML and ABS lights on. Abs is the passenger rear abs sensor (changing the hub this week), EML was an egr sensor apparently but my obd reader says throttle malfunction?

Few other niggles to fix but so far very happy. I'll post some pics soon.

Hi all, I'm trying to get at the lower radiator hose in my 2016 Octavia. I've looked on google and found that I should remove the seven t25 screws. 5 on the bumper splash shield and one on each side connected to the fender. The shield seems loose, but it won't come off and I don't want to try and pry it too much as I'm concerned that I'll crack it. Can someone tell me what additional screws, or maybe clips, need to be removed to get this off? many thanks for all info

I have a 12 year old Skoda Octavia mk3 TSI 1.4 with 155000 miles on the clock. It has JUST scraped through its MOT after repeated emissions failures due to carbon buildup. The mechanic has told me he doesn't want to see the car back next year as it won't pass again and cleaning the carbon deposit off wouldn't be worth it given the age and value of the car. I've read a lot about Walnut Blasting to remove carbon buildup. Would it be worth it in my case or is the mechanic right, and I should just

My 1.8tsi Octavia scout coolant pump was leaking via the impeller. I'd like to change the small belt (not the big timing belt!) that spins the impeller as well as the pump etc but the left handed bolt is stuck. I've not tried too much force as the captive gear it holds moves when I try and I'm concerned that I might break something internally. Would anybody have any experience removing this bolt or known methods of doing so? The photo shows the gear and the bolt I'm refering to is holding this g

Hi! I'm in need of some help please. My Octavia estate sat for 8 months unused. The battery went flat (AGM Varta) and doesn't charge. I got the car started with a different battery and then swapped in the dead battery to see if it would start charging. BUT, now the engine was running I needed to move the car a bit and found that the gear stick won't go into reverse gear. It can select 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th but not reverse. I've ordered up a new AGM battery (due in a couple of days) but this reverse
