There's always a way...

Whilst seeking a news link for the BMW car this morning, I came across this. I guess a lot of you will have read it already, but here goes:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/4685750.stm

The site refers to the manipulation by BMW of search engines on Google to ensure their (BMW's) prominence. (It's also interesting to read, IMO, how some will try to get around any regulations put in place.)

Judging by the number of 3-Series on the roads, surely anybody who wants one has a BMW anyway?

Yes, it struck me as being rather declasse that BMW felt the need to resort to underhand measures to get their product top-lined by search engines. Makes one wonder about their balance sheet.

Serves 'em right I say!

I work in Enfield, near the A10. There is a new BMW dealership on the corner of Lincoln way/road (very nice BTW). Every time I drive past the Blue Tooth on my phone picks up an incoming message from BMW, very annoying.
