"Traffic" updates out of date - fix?

Featured Replies

For about a month now I've had a traffic report of 4 miles of queues on my daily commute to work A34 / M4 junction which is showing up on the Nav as red line with warning sign. Any way I can clear this data as it is old and confusing and makes me think some of the others may be out of date too. Tried reset (hold power button down for more than 10 seconds). Basically renders the Nav useless if the "live" traffic reports are not real. :wondering:

You are lucky. I don't get any traffic reports at all. It just stopped working several months ago and hasn't worked since. It makes a mockery of the dynamic route option. It's a shame as the system is otherwise pretty good, even if the maps are at least 12 months out of date, even the new ones. I now use Waze, completely up to date, real-time traffic data, dynamic routing and speed cameras built in.

  woo-hoo, just checked this morning and the phantom traffic jam has gone. Not sure why. Read somewhere that Traffic reports (TMC) only come from FM stations. Not sure if you have to tune into FM stations for that to happen, but I did that this morning for first time in ages, maybe just coincidence :wondering:

There is a separate FM tuner used to receive the TMC data which is supposed to not need any user intervention, but ....
