hello just bought a VRS tsi!

Featured Replies

Hey all,

I've been a member of this forum for a few years but never had a skoda. Today I just bought a 14 plate blue estate VRS TSI - 75,000 miles! Very excited. I've always had diesels and quite active on UKpassat forum and VW audi forum as I have a passat b5.5 estate (220,000 miles) and an a4 b8 estate (155,000 miles) so one of those now needs to go - probably the passat.

Loved the diesel but given the short journeys we do the petrol was the better choice.

I should have done all the standard 'what should I look for' questions before buying it but I didn't and fingers crossed its a good one!

Just wanted to say hi and thanks for welcoming me on board.

One quick question - I use VCDS v 12.12 for my b8 audi (not compatible with the older B5.5 passat) and wondered if it would also work with Skoda Mk3 or has it moved on even further?

Cheers

You need a newer VCDS. Or... Just get OBDeleven ;)

cheers just had a look online at OBDeleven - looks interesting.

Welcome! Great choice, the TSI is a cracking motor.

OBDEleven is great, been using it for about 2 years now with no issues. Enabled/changed various bits as well as used it to retrofit a couple of things.
