One-shot window problem?

Featured Replies

Skoda Octi 05 BKD.

All my windows including the drivers side, all go down at one push of the button. Okay cool. But then, all bar the drivers side, goes up with one jab at the button. The drivers side, I have to hold the switch to make it go up. I know if you close the window, let go and then hold it again, there's a little click which then is meant to set the window to move at one push on the button. It goes down at one push, but then on the way up, I have to hold it.

I've not scanned VCDS yet, wonder if anyone else has had the same before. I've replaced the window motor as well for one that I know works, but it still does the same.

Have you tried the reset procedure?

Wind all the way down - hold for 5
Wind all the way up - hold for 5

That may fix it

Okay I tried the reset and it still carries on as normal.

However, I pulled up at a ticket machine today, rolled the window down with one shot, to which there was some rather loud snapping noises from the door when it reached the bottom  Sounded like metal/plastic. Will take the door card off when I have time to do so and have a look, also not rolling the window down anymore until I see whats up!
