Hi all. Twice now in as many weeks, when pulling away it goes from 1st to D with NO drive, then jumps into 2nd and all is well. I have had the oil done at about 30k, the car has done about 45k. No other symptoms, I do have the extended warranty, the car is 9 years old.

 

Is this the mechnatronic unit? Anyone experienced this and do you think it would be a warranty item? If not, cost??!

Only reason I said this because I had problems when putting into reverse and on a hill pulling off. Assumed the worst DSG. Turned out was a misfire/other issue because of a tuning box. Once removed issues gone. Maybe read codes with VCDS?
