DQ200 (DSG7) owners come here

Featured Replies

does your dq200 shift like it does in these two videos below? especially from D4->D5 you can clearly see (and maybe hear) the problem. its as if theres a gap each time the gearbox shifts up, and the engine "free revs" during the shifting moment (you hear the engine become louder). See how the RPM needle "shoots" forwards right on the moment it wants to shift. feels very weird when driving the car. the dealer told me this is "normal" after he took the car for a test drive...

(ps: ignore the "vibration noise" you may hear in the video, its just some noise coming from the dashboard)

Welcome.

Who in the Dealership took your car for a test drive, was it the Master Tech?

Has your DQ200 DSG had or needed the Service Campaign '34F7'   Synthetic Oil changed to Mineral & a Software update as needed on some up to 2013.

(2013-2015 is Service Campaign '34H5' required on some DQ200)

i'm sorry i should have mentioned that my car is a VW Passat. i know its weird to be opening this topic on a skoda forum but i coudnt find any help on VW forums.

the guy who took my car for a test drive was a technician at the official VW dealership here. (in fact after this tech told me everything is normal, i went to another official VW dealership in another city, and that technician told me the exact same thing after a test drive...)

the car was built in february 2014 so i suppose that all dq200 service campaigns should have been done on it

i only bought this car 2 months ago when the car had 70.000 kilometers (now it has 78k), already from the start it was acting like this. previously it was a leasing car which had always been serviced on time at the VW dealership

You need to check if '34H5' was done, a software update because that was on some DSG from being built from 2013-2015.  It is a software update due to Pressure & heat issues.

Do not assume it was done, but not all needed it.
